These were normally the sons of the American indigenous elite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 4.0pt;text-align: justify;line-height: normal\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans','sans-serif'\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 4.0pt;text-align: justify;line-height: 150%\">Very few indigenous writers have left their works for us to find. It is interesting that they did not seem to have attended any formal schooling, and the fact that their work was not published at the time.
